Bitdefender Firewall Stealth Mode

Perform the following guidelines to enable stealth mode on Mac,

First, launch the Apple menu and select System Preferences.

Next, select Security & Privacy.

Now, choose the Firewall tab.

If the Firewall is on, then you will find a green dot. Click Turn Firewall on if it is turned off.

Then proceed to enable the Stealth mode.

Click the Bitdefender Firewall option.

Then, click the Enable Stealth mode checkbox.

Then, click OK.

The Bitdefender firewall stealth mode is now enabled.

Perform the following steps to enable Bitdefender VPN firewall,

Proceed with the steps mentioned below to configure the Bitdefender Firewall settings.

After opening the Bitdefender Firewall software, select the Protection icon at the left panel of the screen.
Click Settings Firewall Rules and then select the application you need to view the rules for the selected application.
If you want to add a rule to a specific application, select the Add Rule button.
When the new window opens, choose either the Allow or Deny option from the Permissions menu.
Select Any, Home/Office, or Public from the Network Type drop-down menu.
After selecting the IP Protocol, you need to choose the traffic directions as Outbound, Inbound, or Both as per your wish.
ou can select either Custom Remote Address or Custom Local Address and mention its IP address & port accordingly.

On the main screen of the Bitdefender Firewall software, select View modules Settings.
You have to select the switch next to Firewall to enable Bitdefender Firewall.
If you cannot resolve the Bitdefender Firewall feature disable issue, follow the solutions mentioned below to fix it.
Check whether the Base Filtering Engine (BFE) service is available on your system. If not, download the BFE file from the manufacturer site.
After launching the Control Panel window on the screen, select Administrative Tools Services Base Filtering Engine.
Right-click the BFE service and then select the Properties option.
You are recommended to choose the Automatic option from the Startup Type list.
Select Start and then restart your Windows computer.
When you see the Access Denied message on the screen, enter regedit to display the Registry Editor window.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentSet\\services\\BFE\\ and then select the BFE button.
Click Permissions -> Add and then type Everyone.
Select OK Everyone and checkmark the box next to the Allow Full Control option.
Select OK to close the Dialog box.

Follow the steps mentioned below to know how to manage the settings of the Bitdefender Total Security software.

First, you need to launch the main screen of the Bitdefender Total Security software.
Select the ‘View modules’ option and then click the Settings icon next to Firewall.
Select the Adapters tab and then choose Public, Trusted, Home/Office, or Untrusted from the Network Type drop-down list.
Select the OFF option from both the Stealth drop-down menu and ‘generic’ drop-down menu.
Click the Settings tab in the Firewall window.
Turn off the toggle next to the ‘Block port scans in the network’ option.
Select the Rules tab and select the permissions as per your wish next to the application name.
You can also add the additional rules by selecting the Add Rule button at the top of the screen.
If you select the Reset Rules option, the changes you have done so far in the Rules window will be erased.
