  • There will be two Bitdefender update file links on the page for 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems.
  • Click on the Bitdefender update link that is relevant to your computer’s operating system to begin downloading the Bitdefender update file on your computer.
  • Run the Bitdefender ‘weekly.exe’ update file as an administrator on your computer.

  • The custom location scan scans a specific file, folder, or drive on your Mac computer. The continuous scan keeps the scan running in the background, constantly looking for threats and neutralizing them.
  • Click any of the four scan buttons to scan the Mac computer for viruses. These viruses will be quarantined after the scan is completed. 

Bitdefender Active Virus Control Won’t Turn On

  • Go to your Windows computer's desktop, and press the Win key & R key simultaneously.
  • Enter the word ‘appwiz.cpl’ in the Run window’s text field and press Enter.
  • The Programs and Features window opens. Navigate to the Bitdefender application and right-click it. Choose Uninstall from the menu. 
  • When the Uninstall or Repair prompt appears, choose Repair. Wait until the Bitdefender application is repaired and then restart the computer.
  • If this solution does not solve the module issue, perform a disk check on your computer.
  • Navigate to the Windows desktop. Press the Windows key and E key simultaneously. The 'This PC' window opens. Right-click the drive where Bitdefender is installed and choose Properties from the list. Click the Tools tab Check .
  • Now, return to the Windows desktop once again. Press the Windows key on the keyboard. (It is usually located on the bottom-left portion of the keyboard.)
  • When the Start menu opens, type ‘cmd’ in the search field and right-click the ‘Command Prompt’ search result. Select ‘Run as administrator’ from the list and then click Yes.
  • Enter the words ‘DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth’ without quotes in the Command Prompt window and press Enter.
  • Type the words ‘sfc /scannow’ without quotes and wait until the protected system files are scanned. Close the Command Prompt window after the scan results are displayed.
