The Bitdefender VPN provides total security for your internet surfing by encrypting all the incoming and outgoing requests. While using the Bitdefender VPN, errors may occur due to the reasons mentioned below.
Causes for Bitdefender VPN error:
Your internet connectivity may be slow, or the connection may not be steady. So, make sure there is no issue with your internet. For this, inspect your Ethernet cable or the Wi-Fi router if you are connected wirelessly.
Another cause for the Bitdefender VPN may be the Firewall installed on your computer. If the Firewall on your computer is configured in such a way that it does not permit any VPN, then you might face this issue. Also, check whether the router to which you are connected has a built-in Firewall because the Firewall on the router can also block the Bitdefender VPN. To know more about the router firewall, you can refer to the user's manual of your router.
Another major reason for the Bitdefender error is the usage of dual VPN's on your computer. In case more than one VPN is running on your computer, then one VPN may be blocking the other. So, disable the other VPN on your computer.
Also, in some cases, when you access the internet from a public Wi-Fi, there is a possibility for the port used by the Bitdefender VPN to be blocked. So, when the port is blocked, the Bitdefender VPN may trigger the error message.
If the above-mentioned instructions did not help to resolve the error, then try the steps below:
