Fix Disable Script Blocking in Norton Antivirus

Script Blocking is one of the services in Norton Antivirus that is commonly used for detecting and fixing the script-based worms on your PC. This service was introduced in the Norton Antivirus application during the year 2001. It is no longer available in Norton products. If you are still using the older Norton products and have enabled the Script Blocking service, try the below-mentioned steps to disable it on your PC.

Disable Script Blocking in Norton Antivirus
  • On your Windows, launch the Norton Antivirus software by clicking the Norton icon available in the system tray.
  • Otherwise, give a double-click on the Norton Antivirus shortcut icon located on the desktop.
  • Once you have launched the Norton Antivirus software, click the Options menu and go to the left-side panel.
  • Click the Script Blocking tab and go the right side of the window.
  • Deselect the Enable Script Blocking checkbox and click the OK button.
  • Now, the Script Blocking service will be disabled on your Norton antivirus.
  • If you aren’t able to Disable Script Blocking in Norton Antivirus service, then disable the Norton Antivirus software temporarily on your device.

Carry out these steps to disable the Norton product temporarily on your PC:

  • On your Windows, click the Start menu and type “Norton” in the search panel.
  • From the search result, give a double-click on the Norton Antivirus tab to launch the Norton Internet Security app.
  • In the Norton main interface, click the Options menu and select the Norton Internet Security Options from the drop-down list.
  • Navigate to the left-side panel and click the Real-Time Protection tab.
  • Choose Auto-Protect and then deselect the Turn on Auto-Protect checkbox.
  • Specify the time limit for disabling the Norton product.
  • Click OK to save the applied changes and close the Norton Antivirus window.
  • Make sure that you turn on the Norton product when you restart the PC.
