Step-1: Disable the Self Defense
- Launch the Avast Antivirus user interface on the screen and select Menu at the upper right end of the window.
- Now, a list of options will be displayed. From that list, select the Settings option.
- When the Settings panel appears, click the Troubleshooting menu under the General section.
- Here, you can find the Enable Self Defense menu. Now, untick the checkbox beside the menu to disable the Self Defense mode.
- When a confirmation message pops up, click OK to turn off the Self Defense mode.
- Once it is turned off, close the window.
- Proceed to uninstall the Avast Antivirus program on the system.

- Open the Control Panel window by searching it in the search bar.
