Turn Off Trend Micro Security
Carry out the procedure given below how to turn off Trend Micro Security on your device.
Method 1:
On a Windows computer:
- You can disable the Trend Micro Security application from the Windows taskbar.
- Locate the Trend Micro Security icon in the home screen task tray.
- If you can’t find the icon, click on the arrow icon to show all the application icons.
- Right-click on the Trend Micro Security icon, and select the Exit option from the list.
- After the application’s icon disappears from the taskbar, the Security program will be disabled until you turn it on manually.
On a Mac computer:
- Launch the Trend Micro Security application on your Mac computer to stop or disable the program.
- In the Menu bar, locate the icon of the Security program.
- Right-click on the icon and select the Stop or Disable function.
- If prompted for confirmation, click Yes to turn off the Security program.
Method 2:
- If the above process fails, launch the Trend Micro Security application.
- Click on the Virus & Spyware Controls section and turn off the button next to Protection Against Viruses & Spyware.
- Navigate to the Personal Firewall Controls tab and click on the ON button to turn off the Personal Firewall.
- The Trend Micro Security application will be turned off successfully after you disable the program.
