  • Click the Security tab on the main screen.
  • Click the LiveUpdate option in the Security section.
  • Now the Norton software update process begins, waits for it to complete.
  • Click the OK button once the update process is done.
  • Close all the programs running at the background.

  • If not, run a full system scan by following the instructions given below.
  • Double-click the Norton icon available on your system taskbar.

Norton 360 Backup Problems     

  • Close the Norton software and open it again after a few minutes. 
  • Select the Detailed Settings option from the Settings menu and then choose the Backup Settings option. 
  • Click the Configure button and then access the Summary tab. Tap the Create New Backup Set option present under the Things You Can Do section. 
  • Give a name for the new backup process and tap OK. 
  • To enable backup for your files and folders, you have to select the My Documents Under Backup Sources option. 
  • Choose the file types that you wish to backup and select a destination to store the backup files. 
  • Save the backup settings and choose the Run Backup option. 

Norton 360 Google Chrome Problem

  • Check if there are any updates for Google Chrome. Launch Chrome on your system and find the More icon present at the top of the window. 
  • If it is indicated in Green color, then the update was released 2 days ago. 
  • If it is orange in color, it means that it has been 4 days since the update has been released. 
  • The update was released one week ago if it is represented in Red color. 
  • To Update, click the More icon and select the Update Google Chrome option. 
  • Tap the Relaunch button to close Chrome and start it again.         
  • Check if you have enabled the Norton extensions on Chrome. If not, enable it and verify if the error has been resolved.   

Norton 360 Installation Problems 

  • Restart your computer if there is any problem regarding the installation. 
  • Close all the programs that are running in the background and then restart the computer. 
  • The proceeding solution is to uninstall the Norton security program from the computer. 
  • In the Run dialog box, type appwiz.cpl and tap Enter. 
  • Choose the Norton folder and select the Uninstall option.
