Panda Antivirus has firewall settings to protect your PC from unauthorized access. The firewall protection in Panda Antivirus acts as a filter and ensures safe navigation over the Internet. It also assigns permissions to the applications automatically whenever required. To know how to configure the panda antivirus firewall settings, keep reading the instructions below.

Enabling The Firewall Protection:

  • Start by launching the Panda Antivirus on your computer. You can do so by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.
  • Click the Firewall tile in the Panda antivirus dashboard.
  • Toggle on the slider next to Firewall enabled.
  • Choose any one of the following locations from which you are connected to the Internet.
  • Home
  • Work
  • Public place
  • Click the Settings tab and start configuring the Program control settings.

Configuring The User Rules In Panda Antivirus:

  • Click the Add button on the Program control screen. This opens the Edit rule window.
  • Give a name for the rule and determine whether the program applies to all programs or a specific program.
  • Click on Select to choose the desired program and select the Action option.
  • Next, choose the direction of the communication from the following options.
  • Allow outbound
  • Allow inbound
  • Deny outbound
  • Deny inbound
  • Select when to apply the rules.
  • After that, choose the protocol, port, and IP addresses.
  • You can now increase or decrease the priority of the application.

Configuring Factory Rules:

  • Factory rules have less priority compared to user rules.
  • On the Program control screen, click the Factory rules tab.
  • Select the Enable rules recommended by our lab checkbox.
  • Choose the rules you wish to enable.
  • To check the contents of the selected rule, click the Edit button. Doing so will direct you to the Edit rule screen.
  • After configuring the Panda Antivirus firewall settings, close the Program control window.
