  • Select the Program files X86 or Program Files.
  • Click the VIPRE folder and then right-click the Definitions option.
  • Select the Rename option to change the name of the definition to ‘Old Definition.’
  • Exit the current window.

Updating Definitions

  • On the home screen of the computer, select the VIPRE icon to open.
  • Select the Update Now link from the Update section.

Manually Downloading The Definitions

  • Launch the main window of the VIPRE software.
  • Navigate to the Account tab and then select About VIPRE -> Support Tools.
  • Find the Threat Definition option by scrolling the page down and then select it.
  • Select the Open button next to the definition file name.
  • Make sure to close all the windows on the computer.
  • Navigate to the main window of the VIPRE software again.
  • Check if you see the ‘Definitions are current’ alert in the Update section.
  • Go to the Antivirus section. Also, turn on the Active Protection feature.

How To Repair Vipre Out Of Date Error

  • First, you have to download the Windows Repair Tool software from the manufacturer site.
  • Navigate to the path where you have saved the downloaded file.
