Step-1: Download the Webroot antivirus

  • Open a browser on your Mac device and visit the official Webroot website.
  • On the home page, find the antivirus tool compatible with the Mac OS.
  • A free trial version is also available for first-time users, so you can try the tool then purchase it if you are satisfied.
  • If you have already used it, buy a subscription and download the Webroot antivirus tool on the computer.

Step-2: Install Webroot antivirus

  • Make sure your Mac device is connected to the Internet and then continue with the steps.
  • Open the downloaded Antivirus installer tool on your Mac, read the instructions in the Webroot window, and act accordingly.
  • After dragging the Webroot SecureAnywhere icon to the Applications folder, double-click the Webroot SecureAnywhere icon to start the installation.
  • Once the window opens up, choose a language from the drop-down menu, and click Next.
  • If you have purchased the Webroot tool, the keycode would have been sent to your email address. When you buy it from a store, check the package box for the code.
  • Type the keycode, click ‘View the Webroot software license agreement,’ and read the policies & terms.
  • Following that, select the Agree And Install button to proceed.
  • On the next screen, enter the email address, tick the checkbox located below to get emails regarding the software offers, and finally click Continue. If you do not want any newsletters from the developer, click Cancel and continue the setup.
  • When the system prompts to enter the administrator username and password, enter them and click Sign in.
  • If you want to create a Webroot account, select Create; otherwise, select Skip.
  • Next, install the browser extension for Webroot SecureAnywhere successfully and then install the extension for Password Manager (only for Internet Security Plus edition).
  • The ‘Activation successful” message appears on the screen, then click Scan Now to start scanning the system.
  • After the scan is complete, close the window.
  • You can now just click the Webroot icon to access the main interface.
